The purpose of Code of Conduct

- What behaviours are acceptable and unacceptable

- The standards of practice expected

- The basis for challenging and improving practice.

 

 The codes are therefore a guide for individuals, club members, players, club Officials and   Volunteers to think about, and monitor, how they, and others, conduct themselves in their   roles.

Club Officials and Volunteers

All Officials and Volunteers are expected to always exhibit the essence of good ethical conduct and practice as summarised below.

- Consider the wellbeing and safeties of players/club members at all times and               develop an appropriate working relationship based on mutual trust and respect.

- Always promote the positive aspects and fair play of the sport.

- Ensure all activities are appropriate for the players/members age and ability and         experience of those taking part.

- Consistently display high standards of behaviour and appearance.

- Never ignore rule violations, rough play in the sport

- Encourage players/club members to value their performances and not just results.

- Encourage and guide players/club members to accept responsibility for their own         performance and behaviour.

- Never actively promote anti-social behaviours.

- Never encourage or do anything which is likely to intimidate, offend, insult, humiliate or discriminate against any other person on the ground of gender, race, disability, age, religious or political belief, sexual orientation, social background, ethnic origin, language

Players / Club Members

- Arrive for training in good time to prepare thoroughly

- Arrive for training with appropriate sporting kits and permitted shoes

- Consistently display high standards of behaviour and appearance

- Always warm up and warm down properly before and after the training sessions.

- Learn and play by the rules of the game

- Never encourage or do anything which is likely to intimidate, offend, insult,                   humiliate or discriminate against any other person on the ground of gender, race,   disability, age, religious or political belief, sexual orientation, social background,   ethnic origin, language

- Win or Lose is part of any sport. Applaud all good play and accept victory and defeat   gracefully without excessive display of emotions

- Cooperate with Coach, Club Officials, Club Members and Volunteers

- Be aware of potential dangers of playing behind or moving across to other courts   while the courts are in use

The club will not tolerate abuse in any form of the individual’s rights as spectator, official, player or coach.

We will use the personal information only to maintain our membership database and will only be used by us. We will hold your personal information within our systems as long as you remain as a member of the club. When you decide to cease the membership, all your personal information will be deleted within <retention> months
